So I JUST reached the required ilvl of 372 (at least to queue for LFR) on my druid and I get super excited that I can finally queue for… Dragon Soul ?
I get very confused and I wonder why can’t I queue for any other Cata raids. Is my ilvl too low ? The other Cata raids aren’t added to LFR ? Why wouldn’t they be added to LFR ? I really don’t like the idea of doing the final raid of Cata as my first raid ever. Can’t I fully enjoy from the whole Cata expansion ? JUST because of MoP being the newest expansion and Cata raids being outdated ? I’m really upset.
You see, people, so far Cata has been my favourite expansion (I don’t have MoP right now as I didn’t have money for it when I bought WoW). Now I know there’s like a huge crowd of people wanting to yell at me “WLK IS THE BEST EXPANSION EVER NOOB” but me, I didn’t enjoy it too much. I believe it’s because my first impression of it was that I found Borean Tundra to be very, very boring. I still haven’t played through the other side of Northrend, the… Howling Fjord (?) and so on, and I hope that side of Northrend feels much more interesting :> I also played through WLK very quickly as I wanted to explore the Cata content. Turns out, I ended up liking Cata way more than the past two expansions.
Back to raids. I’ve really been looking forward to raiding in WoW ever since I started playing it back when BC was only recently released and when I started playing again after years of not even bothering to look at WoW (I quit because I had no friends to play with *loner*). Now, when I finally reach the minimum ilvl requirement for raiding, I can only queue for one raid (that’s split into two parts AND is the final raid of Cata). Also, after searching for information about the LFR only including one raid, I come across upsetting information. “DS is basically impossible to do now”, “You will queue for DS for a LONG time, because people don’t want to do it anymore”, “If you happen to get a full group of 25 people, most of them are first time raiders or it’s their first time in that raid”. Basically this means I can’t raid before I get MoP ? If DS is the only Cata raid I can do (IF I can, mind you), I’m forced to miss out on a lot of content that I still want to explore. Most of my guildies are lvl 90 and they would never bother to deal with a single, stuck-in-Cata druid like me. And others, who are near lvl 85, have MoP and will move to Pandaria to continue till lvl 90.
Ever since Cata was announced, I wanted to fight against Deathwing in an epic battle to save Azeroth. Deathwing is one of my favourite characters in WoW (Way more badass than some stinky Garrosh even though Garrosh is a character I like very much as well) so far and I will be very upset if I cannot fight him. So far things look grim and I have to say good bye to Cata and the dream about fighting Deathwing someday.
